Debates on art have to enter in a larger perspective
than those proposed by activities of art themselves.
Debates on art must essentially focuse on the evolution of our hominization
process.
Art contributes to make evolve ideas
that we construct to enrich or impoverish the concept of humanity.
I propose a definition of Art that serves me as personal reference. I do not want to impose it as a model, but simply my own reflection, my experience, my artist and citizen decisions determine in sight of this definition that I give to the Art since more 30 years:
"Art is a totality of conducts, different and complementary of philosophical
and scientific conducts, by which a society in progress to its humanity
describes, expresses, communicates, then enriches, its comprehension of
the world and its interpretations through which it tempts to control it".
It follows from this definition, upon to me, that the artist is completly
integrated in a social public, service, he must be at all disposal, I mean
immerged in the whole day to day life, but not only in the museum of contemporary
art.
